Now Shipping D2E compliant D2PRO
D2PRO SPI 9 Wire is the next evolution in Wii modification. It is now updatable by DVD (hence need for an SPI interface) and now works on ALL Wii models. The legacy support is something new for the top range Wii Modchips and D2PRO is the first to offer it. You can now mod your Generation 1, Generation 2 and Generation 3 consoles with a single modchip.
The build quality of the D2PRO 9 Wire is very good. The red colour looks fantastic and the fault rate is basically non-existant. All chips are pre-flashed with the 9 wire firmware so you do not have to install 15 wires, 19 wires or the mammoth 31 like the D2CKey.
The patching method of the 9 Wire firmware is quite different to the D2CKey as it uses Serial Port Attack (just like Wiikey) instead of Address Line Patching (said to be more 'futureproof').
You can flash your D2PRO 9 Wire using a DVD for basic patching or D2PROG for complete code updates. At this stage we do not believe there is any need to purchase a D2PROG unless you are a professional installer. For the home user it is fairly pointless excercise.
D2PRO SPI 9 Wire is produced by the same people that gave you D2CKey, D2PRO 15/19 Wire and also the original Wiikey. This team has been around forever with respect to the Wii and you can rest assured your trusted console is in safe hands.
